  1. Find the bag. The example is QUIKRETE 5000 Concrete Mix, 80 lb. Its data sheet gives 0.6 cu ft per bag.
  2. Get the number of bags. One cubic yard is 27 cu ft, so 27 ÷ 0.6 = 45, rounded up to 45 bags.
  3. Divide by the bags per pallet the maker prints: 45 ÷ 42 = 1 full pallet with 3 bags loose.
  4. Weigh it: 45 bags × 80 lb = 3,600 lb. A full pallet is 42 × 80 = 3,360 lb, the bags alone.
