Your data

Privacy policy

The site has no accounts and no forms, and shows no ads. We count visits with PostHog, without cookies unless you allow them, to learn which planners help and where people get stuck.

In short

  • Nothing to sign up for: no account, no email, no form.
  • Visits are counted without cookies and without an identifier on your device.
  • Analytics cookies, and our counts of how you use the planners, only after you click Allow.
  • No ads or ad trackers. We do not sell data; PostHog receives the visit information described below.

What we count

We use PostHog, a product analytics service. Your browser sends its counts to an address on this site, which passes them to PostHog’s servers in the European Union; the browser itself talks to no one else. Analytics runs only on the live site, never on test copies.

Before you choose, or if you say no

PostHog counts the visit without cookies, and stores nothing on your device except your answer to the banner. It receives the page you opened, the page you came from, when you left it, and the browser and screen size your browser reports. Like any web request, it carries your IP address, which PostHog uses to estimate your country and to tell one day’s visits apart.

If you click Allow

PostHog keeps a random identifier in a cookie and in local storage, so visits on different days count as one visitor.

We also count how the planners are used: which planner, the sizes and options of the plans you looked at, the what-ifs you tried, whether you copied, printed or saved a plan, and the links you followed to a source document or out of the site. For a site search, only how long the query was and how many pages matched.

PostHog may record the session, if we switch recording on: pages, scrolling and clicks, with whatever you type into a field hidden.

What never leaves

No name, email or account: the site has none to send. Our events carry numbers and our own names for things, never words you typed, and search words are masked in every address PostHog receives.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies of its own. PostHog uses these, under its own names:

What PostHog keeps in your browser
WhatWhenHoldsKept
Your answer to the banner (local storage)When you click Allow or No thanksYes or no; no identifierUntil you clear this site’s data
A cookie named ph_ followed by our project key and _posthog, with a copy in local storageOnly after AllowA random identifier and the current visitUp to a year

To change your answer, use Cookie settings at the foot of any page (it appears wherever analytics runs). Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes all of the above.

Hosting

When the site is deployed, its web host receives each request, including your IP address, to deliver the page and keep the service running. The host will be named here before launch.

Pages load nothing from other companies’ servers: no web fonts, maps, videos or ad scripts. Photos are copies on this site, and analytics code comes through this site’s own address too.

What we don’t do

  • No advertising, and no ad or social media trackers.
  • No selling or renting data, and no sharing it with advertisers or data brokers. PostHog processes the visit information described above.
  • No forms that collect an email address until we have a policy for keeping one.
  • No tracking across other sites.

Your choices

  • Click No thanks, or change your answer later in Cookie settings: PostHog then goes back to counting visits without cookies.
  • Block or clear this site’s cookies and local storage in your browser; the planners work the same without them.
  • We hold no name, email or account, so there is nothing we could look up by person. Analytics is tied only to a random identifier, or, without cookies, to nothing kept on your device.

Contact

A contact address is coming, and it will be listed here. Until then, the site has no way to receive a message, so we collect nothing that would need one.
